These striking and highly original pieces have been created by sculptor Matt Buckley. Although contemporary in style each design is created by hand in the traditional manner using clay. A pencil drawing is used as a starting point but then intuition and the artist’s eye take over and design is worked and reworked until the final result emerges.

A mould is carefully created for each design. Into the moulds are poured a special marble resin which hardens to produce the basic sculpture. Each piece is then worked on by hand to clean and prepare for final finishing which includes sand-blasting and painting. The end result is an impressive piece that would be a talking point for any home.
